Capita Productions

CAPITA Productions (City At Peace In The Arts) is a non-profit Community Theater Company, founded in 1990 by the late Brother Booker Ashe and Ms. Arlene Skwierawski. Their goal was to draw from all areas of the Community to foster multicultural awareness and racial harmony through the medium of Community Theater. Since its inception, CAPITA has worked to bring together people of diverse ages, races and backgrounds to provide an example of how the community can work.  As a non-profit organization, CAPITA uses theater and the arts to bridge cultural gaps and unite the diverse Milwaukee area youth while giving them invaluable experience and a constructive outlet for their creative expressions.

We at CAPITA Productions work directly with area youth, because these amazing and incredibly talented young people deserve a chance to have dreams and succeed in making their dreams come true!

From 1996, through 2013, CAPITA presented its original production of "We Are the Drum" annually. Due to lack of funding, CAPITA was forced to suspend production of "We Are the Drum" until this year. With limited funds and community support, we were able to present "We Are the Drum" 2018 in February. Beginning last September, our cast received weekly in-depth instructions and participated in after school rehearsals as they prepared for this year's top quality, audience thrilling, performance.

Youth throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area will directly benefit from your investment in their potential. We believe there is no better investment and resource than our youth. Your contributions will help finance their continued excellence in their creative endeavors with CAPITA Productions! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THESE YOUNG PEOPLE BY CONTRIBUTING RIGHT NOW.

CAPITA Productions and Milwaukee area youth thank you for your support
