Patrica Bridges

Patricia (Ms. Pat) Bridges Artistic Director.  Ms. Pat auditioned for a role in the 1997 production of "We are the Drum" she was appointed as AD in 2000 and has been there since then. Ms. Pat loves the stage and the opportunity to help others realize their God-given talents. She realizes that as a director, she gets to teach. When we are teaching, the students are just engraved in what they are learning. They are happy to be as part of something as big as 'We Are the Drum.’ ”

Kristin Urban-Dias

Kristin Urban-Dias has been acting, singing, and dancing since the age of 5.  She currently teaches music at Milwaukee College Prep Lola Rowe Campus where she also leads a Glee club and African dance group.  Ms. Urban is also a singer songwriter and founder of Milwaukee’s own reggae band Urban Empress & The Urbanites. She has been with CAPITA for four years and is honored to be a part of CAPITA’s production team this year as it aligns with her belief that everyone has a gift waiting to be nourished and discovered. 

Choreographer 

Sydney Thomas

Sydney Thomas has worked with CAPITA for four years as a dancer and assistant choreographer.  She has assumed the role of lead choreographer where she exhibits precisive instruction to cast members based on their skill level and on age-appropriate dance performance roles. The physical discipline she uses regularly as a fitness instructor, spill over into her work in dance. She inspires all of her “students” to incorporate excellence not only in their dance moves, but also achieving nutritional balance to improve their stamina.

Simyra Robinson

Simyra Robinson, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native, has been captivating audiences with her talent and passion since the age of four. Immersed in dance from an early age, she has mastered a diverse range of styles, including African, praise dance, hip-hop, and modern dance. At 12, she expanded her creative horizons by stepping into the world of acting. In 2020, Simyra joined the groundbreaking production *We Are the Drum* as a dancer and actress. Currently, she serves as the stage manager for the production, playing a vital role both on stage and behind the scenes. Her dedication to the performing arts continues to inspire and enrich her community, showcasing her as a versatile and powerful performer.
